From Recovery to Discovery
A peer-led and peer education support group are inclusive to all with lived experience of a mental health illness. The group moves beyond diagnosis to purpose and empowerment. Through mutual sharing of experience participants recognize recovery is possible and living a full life is achievable, enabling persons with lived experience to realize their full potential.

Group Guidelines
- Respect
- Show respect for everyone in the group:
- No passive aggressive comments, no judgemental comments, no racist, homophobic, sexist or transphobic comments
- Confidentiality – Do not repeat anyone’s names or identifying details outside of the group
- Courtesy
- Use “I” statements whenever possible, not “You should”…
- Share the ‘air’ space (take turns speaking) and try not to interrupt
- Participation is voluntary; if you aren’t feeling very talkative you can listen.
- It is your responsibility to take a break and return in a few minutes or leave the group if you are upset by the discussion. If you do leave, please let the facilitator know verbally or in the chat. We want to know if you are OK.
- Safe Space
- If you are smoking, please keep your video off
- Please do not drink alcohol or be drunk
- Teams guidelines
- Keep yourself on mute when not speaking
- If you are having technical issues, you can try signing off and back on again.
